Hello, I’m Jacquie D.,
I’m a fully qualified and insured fitness instructor and have been teaching since 2005.
I am enthusiastic in encouraging people to exercise regularly for their physical and mental well being.
I’m particularly interested in maintaining good health in mid to older age. For my own physical health I do do yoga 3-4 mornings a week, swim 3 times a week, walk regularly and teach my classes. I believe taking care of your mental health is just as important as physical and I do daily meditation, play piano, read a lot and like to keep learning!
I really love encouraging people to exercise and seeing them develop in stamina, mobility, strength and most importantly learn to enjoy moving their bodies! I also do 5-10 minutes relaxation at the end of my all classes to introduce people to the benefits of mindfulness and taking care of themselves.
Over the years I have taught a variety of classes. The training I have done and the people I have worked with has given me a wide knowledge of physical/mental issues that people may have. If you have a condition I can suggest the most suitable class for you and give you alternative exercises where needed.
